We can help from start to finish! Qt and The Geek handles all the technical details so you can concentrate on what you're good at: running your business. We can produce a data model, choose the right tool for the job, ensure data integrity and security, provide robust programming, and design a pleasing and easy-to-use front end even if you don't know what any of that means. Unlike other database designers, we don't start with a one-size-fits-all template, so we don't have one-size-fits-all pricing, either. We learn your goals first; then we offer an estimate tailored to your needs. You'll find our prices very reasonable; Contact Us to see! Satisfied customers include: |

The Indiana University Cancer Center had a database to track participants in a study of breast cancer survival rates. The data model was inefficient and unnecessarily complex; the front end was complicated, cluttered and nonintuitive; programming functions to mine the data and simplify administrative tasks were sorely lacking; and security was absent altogether. Working with the existing data model to allow ongoing use during the redesign, we quickly provided a much sleeker interface; automated functions that had been requiring hours of effort; and secured the data. The redesigned database allowed the Cancer Center to train new data entry operators more easily, ensure the integrity of the research, and reduce costs. |
| The Norton Hills Estates Recreation Association, a neighborhood association in West Michigan, publishes an annual neighborhood directory with two listings, one by last name and one by street. The data were in two spreadsheets, meaning each change had to be entered twice to keep both listings up-to-date, and they could not easily generate mailing labels or track dues payments. We incorporated the existing data into a database, resolved conflicts between the various data sources, and provided a front end and powerful programming to allow quick and easy updates and automatic generation of the directory, dues notices, mailing labels and more. (We also designed a Web site for NHERA.) |
